Please be advised that this car left the factory as a 250se Coupe. The previous owner carried out a painstaking conversion, where a donor W108 280se 3.5 was acquired and dismantled. Firstly the 3.5 V8 engine was overhauled at a cost of €7,500. Then the complete rear axle, drivetrain, front subframe/axle, gearbox, engine, engine wiring harness and ECU were transplanted into this W111 coupe. It has been done to a high standard and very tastefully even down to the new custom radiator made and fitted to accommodate the engine oil cooler for the 3.5 V8. The wiring harness is installed correctly and even the ECU is mounted where it should be.

The end result is a very useable W111 3.5 coupe. The engine runs faultlessly and performs like new. In every respect it drives like an original 3.5 coupe. The prices of the original ones are well above €100k now and this example is a bargain at less than half the price. There are a few blemishes on the paintwork as we ourselves previously repainted the car in 2011 and sold the car to its last owner as an original 250se coupe in 2012. Over the last 12 years it has acquired a  few nicks and scratches but overall has held up very well and looks fantastic. It's not for everyone as there are some aftermarket modifications ie. glass tilt sunroof and sound system even with speakers built into the headrests but it has a beautiful interior. We refurbished the wooden dash in 2011 and it still looks amazing. Electric front windows were also added in the past and are a nice touch.

This car is in a stunning colour combination, It drives like an original 280se 3.5 W111 should do and gets admired by everyone that lays their eyes on it.
